★★★★★ Energy efficient, easy, effective lighting. I bought these two months ago and they have worked very well. Installation was easy, though as others have noted the adjustability is a bit limited, so it's a good idea to test fit where/how you'd mount before actually drilling holes. In the location I'm using, there's a tradeoff between maximizing light coverage area and exposure to sunlight for recharging.These came with a remote control, mainly only necessary when changing modes if the unit is mounted out of reach--there are physical buttons on the lights you can use instead. The instructions were not helpful but I was able to "decode" what the illustrations on the remote meant after trial/error, and found the modes to be:-always off-always on/bright (auto-off in daylight)-always on/dim, goes bright when motion detected (auto off in daylight)-motion activated only, brightI have not tested whether there's enough solar recharge daily to support any of the always on modes, but based on the use of energy efficient LED's I'd think they should be able to fully recharge with no problems.The motion detection is excellent and has impressive range. I have two dogs that are constantly going in/out in the evening and these kick on immediately when they pass by. I would point out, though, that if using the motion-activated only mode, they only stay on for about 10 seconds after motion. That saves energy, but seems a bit short to me.Overall, they do a very good job, have held up well, and I'm especially impressed by how affordably they're priced.

★★★★★ Easiest installation ever. There has been a lot of progress in battery-powered motion sensor lights in the last 10 years, the last time I bought one. This one is charged by solar, no alkaline batteries required.This one is brighter than the last one I bought 10 years ago. It is by no means as bright as a hard-wired light with 100+ watt dual bulbs, but it does a remarkably good job of lighting the area.It takes 2 included screws to mount the bracket, then slip the light into the bracket. Simple. The solar panel is built into the light. There is no separate wires solar panel to mount/install.The motion-sensing works from quite a distance away like 25-30 feet. There is an included remote to turn it on and change modes but I doubt I'll ever use it. If it has a range of like 50', the remote might be practical. But it's more like 15' range. The button on the back of the light switches modes and shuts the light off as well. I just don't see the practicality in the remote.My only complaint is that I wish the solar panel and the lights could be rotated left and right instead of only down and up.Overall, this is a very good buy and will meet most people's needs for a security light. Buy the 2 pack.
